Christopher Thomas O’Connor

4782757_1My background prior to my admission in New York as an attorney was as a reporter, writer and editor. During my previous 10-year career in journalism, I held numerous positions for daily, weekly and monthly publications, including local newspapers and national magazines. This experience allowed me to come in contact with a fascinating array of people in interesting contexts, whether they are the victims of arson, rape or other crimes, executives at Fortune 500 companies, internationally renowned musicians and entertainers or experts on law, education, home improvement and social justice.

From those first set of adventures, and from my law school training, and now from my experiences, I have built a deep sense of empathy that allows me to advocate for clients and causes strongly and confidently. The crux of legal services is found in the word service, and that is something I never, ever forget. As Of Counsel for Kimberly Pelesz New York Law, LLC, my goal, and the goal of my colleagues, is to serve our clients most ably, through our knowledge of the law, our ability to apply it to the facts of any case and to stamp everything we do with a sense of duty. In addition to family law and criminal defense, I also am working to become a trusted advisor to the elderly and the mentally incapacitated through participation in New York’s Article 81 system (my application to become Part 36 appointee is pending).
